Authenticating your Instagram

To Authenticate your Instagram With Glewee:

1. Tap My Portfolio in the bottom right of the navigation with your photo 
2. Tap the three horizontal lines next to your Total Following value 
3. Tap Socials
4. Select Instagram
5. Tap Continue
6. Log into the Facebook account connected to your Instagram Business Account
7. Grant Glewee permission to your post analytics (further instructions below)
8. Return to Glewee

Further Explanation Of Authenticating Your Instagram With Glewee: 

We have helped an array of creators through this process and want to begin by saying we understand that this process is not easy. Meta (Instagram) has required creators to link their Instagram Business Account with a Facebook Page in order for their platforms to all work together.

If you have reached the page that says "Instagram Authentication Failed", follow this step-by-step guide to properly allowing Glewee to access your Instagram stats through Facebook: 

First, you'll need to make sure that you have a Facebook account. If you don't have a Facebook account, follow these steps to make one.

Second, you'll need to make sure that you have a Facebook Page. If you don't know how to make a Facebook Page, follow these steps to make one.

Third, you'll need to link your Instagram Business Account to that Facebook Page. It's really easy. If you don't know how to connect an IG account to a Facebook Page, follow these steps here.

Once these three steps are done and your Instagram Business Account is linked to your Facebook Page, now you have everything you need to authenticate Glewee with your accounts (and any app with your account moving forward in life, so it's a great exercise!)

Follow these steps to get back to authenticating your Instagram with Glewee:

1. Tap My Portfolio in the bottom right of the navigation with your photo 
2. Tap the three horizontal lines next to your Total Following value 
3. Tap Socials
4. Select Instagram
5. Tap Continue
6. Log into the Facebook account connected to your Instagram Business Account

You'll then see the following screen: 

Now, if you go ahead and press "Continue as _____ _____" it will try to link your accounts. If you only have one Facebook Page on this account that is connected to your Instagram Business Account then this will work perfectly and it will bring you back to Glewee and you'll see the Successful Instagram Authentication page in Glewee. If not continue below. 

If you have multiple Facebook pages on your Facebook account, then Facebook doesn't know which page to pull data from when you press "Continue as ____ ____". Follow the steps above to get back to the page in Facebook where it allows you to continue as your name.

From here press "Edit Setting" - then you'll see the screen below.

You need to select ONLY the Facebook Page that is linked to your Instagram Business Account. The reason it didn't work before with the "Continue as ____ ____" is because it was trying to pull data from a page that wasn't linked to your Instagram Business Account. 

Once you do that and press Next, it will ask you what Instagram account you're looking to authenticate. Choose the Instagram Business Account that you want to use with the Glewee platform (your main profile that you would like to execute brand deals on Glewee with). Press next and then it will prompt you to go back to Glewee. 

At this point, you should be brought back into Glewee where you will see the "Successful Instagram Authentication" screen. 

Press "Continue" and this is now complete. 

FAQ About Authenticating Your Instagram With Glewee 

• Why do I need to log in using my username and password?

During this process, you are not giving Glewee any of your Instagram account information. You are logging into Facebook's platform through their secure login process.

• Does Glewee have my username and password for Instagram?

No - we do not gain access to the login information you provide to Facebook and we will never have your social media account information!

• Is this safe to do?

Glewee is a formal Meta (Facebook + Instagram) API Business Partner, meaning that this process is safe and secure for your account. User information confidentiality is one of our highest priorities here at Glewee.
